The adventures of a white-collar man
Xu Feng took Jiang Bowen and Lin Suxue on a spring outing to the countryside by a river for a picnic and barbecue. Watching the two of them, for once, working together to grill the meat properly, he hoped they could bring that same spirit of cooperation to their work and stop bickering all the time.
Xu Feng had chosen this location because of a temple called the "White Temple" in a nearby village named Bai Village. But when they arrived, they noticed something strange — not a single person was in sight on the village roads, even in broad daylight. The White Temple stood at the very center of the village. When Lin Suxue tried to take a photo, she was abruptly stopped by the temple keeper, who claimed that their beliefs prohibited photography.
Later, while Lin Suxue was visiting the temple, the sound of a text message notification and the camera shutter went off at the same time. Though she explained it was just a coincidence, the temple keeper remained suspicious. That night, while everyone was asleep, he sneaked into their room to try to find the phone, but they caught him in the act. It turned out that the photography ban wasn't truly due to religious beliefs — the temple keeper had secretly replaced and hidden cultural relics and was afraid they'd be discovered.
In the end, burdened by guilt, he chose to turn himself in.
